A company in Brigg is asking North Lincolnshire Council planners for permission to undertake minor alterations to existing premises with a small extension to its sales area and also carry out associated external alterations.
Turnbull Timber is based on the Island Carr Industrial Estate, off Bridge Street.
In support of its proposal, which is now being considered, the company suggests the number of full-time employees will be increased from 25 to 27.
Brigg Town Council's Planning & Environment Committee decided it was "in support" of the application.
A final decision will now be made by North Lincolnshire Council.
