SUGGESTION TO KEEP BRIGG TIDY

You can never have enough litter bins in a town like Brigg but however many the authorities provide there will always be certain uncaring people who will just drop their rubbish and go.
Having said that, Brigg Blog must express  surprise that there is no longer a litter bin on this lampost (pictured below) near the Monument war memorial roundabout.
It is along a very well-walked route for people who have been visiting Brigg pubs in the evening and then stopped for  fast food  to take away and eat on the way home.
We did exactly that last Saturday and finished our meal at this location, only to realise there's no longer a bin provided here, although there was one for some considerable time before its removal.
On Saturday night we back-tracked, crossed Bigby Road and deposited our carton and fork in one of the bins at South Park, near the Tintab shelter.
However, not everyone would go to that trouble, resulting in takeway wrappings being deposited on footpaths or grass verges.
Any chance the powers-that-be might consider installing a replacement bin at this location?

Our picture taken this week (above) showing the absence of a litter bin; below, the scene during September 2016 when we drew attention to there being a fitting but no bin present.
