PEOPLE FROM BRIGG AREA TO VISIT PLOUGHING TOURNAMENT

There's an interesting farming-related event coming up in the Brigg area this weekend.
It will take place on Sunday, October 15 at Northwold Farm, Worlaby Top, on Sunday, October 15, from 10am to 4pm.
Entry to the Barton Upon Humber District Ploughing Society's 40th annual ploughing tournament costs £4.
Steam engines, old tractors and ploughing horses will be on show, and refreshments will be on sale.
The event is held by kind permission of the well-known Godfrey farming concern.
For further details, call  01469 530741.
These pictures were taking at a previous ploughing tournament we enjoyed attending.
To help people find the venue, the postcode is DN20 0NS.
Head out of Brigg through Wrawby towards Elsham, pass the golf course, go up the hill and look for  signs indicating the venue.

Best to take some stout footwear, Nige.
When I've been there, it has been a little chilly, but well worth watching....
Also a good idea to get a programme...explains the different categories...
