FREE COMMUNITY CELEBRATION PLANNED FOR BRIGG THIS CHRISTMAS

FROM KAREN DEELEY, BRIGG ANGELS WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

Brigg Angels WI will be extending a warm welcome to the elderly, isolated or lonely people of Brigg over the festive period.
A free  Community Celebration will be taking place on Wednesday 28th December, from approximately 3pm to 8pm at The Angel Suite, Brigg, and will include a festive cold carvery buffet, varied entertainment, free raffle and a present from Santa...if you have been good! Transport can also be arranged if you are less mobile.
Invitations will be made initially via local community groups,  but individuals are welcome to apply for inclusion direct to the Brigg Angels WI, whose contact details will be released at a later date.
The venture is to be funded by a generous donation from Brigg Town Council, Brigg Angels WI, local shops and businesses, along with local voluntary community groups.
N. F. ADDS: Brigg Town Council agreed at its latest meeting to make a £475 grant to Brigg Angels WI for the Community Celebration. This gathering will be something new to Brigg and  is a super festive season initiative which many people will appreciate.
