BRIGG COUNCILLOR: 'WE ARE PROUD OF OUR VERY DIVERSE COMMUNITIES'

North Lincolnshire Council's Cabinet met on Tuesday (12 July) and "condemned all hate crime, xenophobia and intolerance following the Brexit vote on 23 June."
The council says: "Though the number of hate crimes in North Lincolnshire is low since Brexit – just two reported crimes - the council and the Police are being proactive and issuing guidance to local communities to assist residents should they encounter any issues."
Coun Rob Waltham (Brigg & Wolds), Deputy Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “We are proud of our very diverse communities in North Lincolnshire and condemn acts of racism, xenophobia and hate crimes. It is illegal to commit such a crime and anyone found doing so will receive the full force of the law.
