  • Best allotment

The winner from each category will receive a £100 voucher for Brigg Garden Centre. Second place in each category will receive a £50 voucher and third place will win one for £25.
You can enter your garden into the competition online now at www.northlincs.gov.uk/bestgardencompetition
Alternatively, you can pick up an entry form from one of our Local Links or from Brigg Garden Centre, Bigby High Road (pictured above).
Applications should be submitted by 30 April 2016.
Coun Neil Poole, of Messingham, Cabinet Mmember for Neighbourhoods at North Lincolnshire Council, said: “Every year we are amazed by the gardening talent we have here in North Lincolnshire and they often inspire others to have a go with their garden too. It must take a great deal of hard work to maintain such beautiful gardens and they deserve to be celebrated.
“If your horticultural skills are hot stuff, give your garden the recognition it deserves and enter the Best Garden Competition 2016.”
The winners of the competition will be announced at a ceremony at Normanby Hall Country Park during July 2016.
The North Lincolnshire Best Garden Competition is sponsored by North Lincolnshire Council and Brigg Garden Centre.

NF adds: In addition to the above, Brigg Town Council runs its own popular Best Kept Garden competition and also has one for Best-Kept Allotments.  These are judged in the summer with winners announced in September/October.  There is no need to enter the Brigg competition, as judges tour the town, looking at gardens (from the footpath). There's also an appointed judge for the allotments, who looks at those in Redcombe Lane/Atherton Way and on Grammar School Road.

I'm secretly recruiting about 1000 people to push the Garden Centre into Brigg.
