BRIGG CAR PARK WAS OUT OF BOUNDS

Work on the car park which will serve the new B&M store in Brigg meant an estimated 90 spaces were out of bounds to shoppers last Saturday.
The Old Courts Road car park, and other locations, seemed able to cope, but what’s the situation going to be when the monthly farmers’ market brings the usual influx of visitors to town?
Our advice is to make sure you arrive early to bag a parking space this Saturday.

.....and it's permanent, Nige.
According to the plans, the area of the old car park to the north side will only be used by authorised delivery vehicles...and a further reduction in car parking spaces, presently adjoining the Tesco side will be reduced as a result of landscaping.
I know of a number of folk who used the car park as a free long-term stay...and now these folks will be displaced.
If these folks are now tempted to use the bays in front of the B&M store, it will quickly become visible the long-term parkers will be consuming the bays of the anticipated short-stay shoppers..the potential being a time limit being imposed.
The danger then is all-day parkers will start using the side streets.
