ARTISTS' WORK ON SHOW

A steady stream of visitors arrived at St John’s Church Hall to view the wide range of paintings exhibited by the Ancholme Artists. Entry was not from Bigby Street but from Wrawby Street, using the tenfoot at the side of the vestry, taking visitors into the back of the Hall. I don’t think I’ve used that route since leaving the church choir in about 1967/8. So it was quite literally a trip down memory lane! Refreshments were served by helpers at the exhibition, with some impressive work available for sale. Those we spoke to were appreciative of the amount of pre-exhibition publicity afforded to their event.

We need a public notice board in Brigg....Many activities, such as this, can go unnoticed.......I didn't know about it and I tend to have a nose for happenings, Scribs.
