BRIGG SHOPPING ARCHES PROJECT UPDATE

It is now a year since a public consultation was carried out in the Buttercross over plans to add metal arches to courtyard entrances in Brigg town centre as a guide to visiting shoppers.
Coun Rob Waltham gave a project update to fellow councillors at the latest meeting of Brigg Town Council.
He said a great deal of work remained to be done, including assessing the final cost.
But there could be opportunities to gain "alternate funding" for this Brigg scheme.
He stressed that the arches  had been well received by the public during the consultation exercise.
The Brigg Neighbourhood Plan team is expected to discuss the project at its next session with a report to follow at a future meeting of the Town Council.

Coun Chris Dyson, pictured above, will be assisting with his specialist engineering knowledge.
