Let's have a bit of lateral thinking..inherently, the current common entrance/exit to OC's CP causes more hassle than it resolves..it's essentially, too congested when cars are competing with other...
Why not solve both problems - cars hassling each other and overnight lorry parking by creating another exit....then both entrance and exits could be narrow enough to debar HGV's....height restriction barriers could debar cars towing caravans - not the sort of thing that's beneficial to a town that wants to attract tourists.
Likewise....Tesco...everyone moans about vehicles turning right when leaving Tesco...why not negotiate with Tesco for the creation of a separate exit...into ?Springs Way...then the common Barnard Ave access becomes an entrance only...then the right-turning becomes a distant problem...
Whilst on the subject of parking, the Yes/No dilemma of whether the old Lidl's store is to become a B&M emporium appears to re-emerging.
Contractors are working inside the building and a barrier has been erected around the electrical block-house...the contractors say they are working for B&M.....if so, has anyone in authority had the proactive thought and consequence of the B&M planned significant reduction of car-parking spaces around the building?
Where are the displaced car parkers expected to go on Thursdays and during special events.....Watch out Albert St and such roads, the lack of coordinated proactive planning could leave you in the firing line....
