On Friday 13 February at Hibaldstow Airfield, Squadron Leader Andrew Milikin of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will give an insightful talk. It will be at the new SkyDive Clubhouse starting at 7pm. Andrew will explore the Spitfire AB910 and the work of the flight. He will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

A special exhibition will be unveiled on Saturday 14 February at Hibaldstow Airfield at 10am. This is to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Spitfire flight of Margaret Horton and the story of the airfield in World War Two. Food will be available to buy throughout the day.
The exhibition will be open to the public at the SkyDive Clubhouse. It is free admission and will be open from 10am to 4pm. This exhibition is open for one day only.
In May 2012 the Northern Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Project was launched covering eight airfields in northern parts of Lincolnshire. The Project tells the story of these World War Two airfields and the part they played during the war years.
Now three years on the project has continued to develop and is holding its fourth talk on aviation relation subjects.
Free car parking is available at Hibaldstow Airfield. For further information about the talk or exhibition, contact the council’s tourism team on 01724 297536.
Coun Liz Redfern, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “The Northern Lincolnshire Aviation Project is fantastic as it brings together all of North Lincolnshire’s aviation history across our many airfields. They have held some brilliant talks so far that have been very popular with aviation enthusiasts. As well as other people who just want to learn about North Lincolnshire’s history during World War Two. I’m sure this fourth talk by Squadron Leader, Andrew Milikin is going to be just as popular. It is also great to see this new exhibition being unveiled, adding further to the Projects work. This will be the perfect day out for all the family.”
