DRIVER ALERT: DAY-TIME BRIGG ROAD CLOSURE FOR UP TO 11 DAYS

A road in Brigg is to be closed to traffic during daylight hours for 11 days, with a diversion in place.
Drivers should note that, due to drainage repairs, Preston Drive will be a no-go area between April 8 and 19, from 9.30am to 5pm daily.
A diversion will be in place via Glebe Road and Grammar School Road.
Many people journeying to and from the Springbank housing estate use Preston Drive, Hawthorn Avenue and Woodbine Avenue to reach the A18, as this avoids Grammar School Road.
Some customers also use this route to visit the chip shop on Grammar School Road and park on nearby Preston Drive.
However, as the roadworks are scheduled to finish at 5pm each day, this should still be possible during the peak time for takeaways.
Grammar School Road, on the diversionary route, is one of Brigg's busiest and most congested.
Cadney Road in Howsham will be closed to traffic from March 25 to 27, between 7am and 5pm, to allow new water connections to be made. Getting to and from Cadney via Howsham during that period will involve a detour through Brigg.
