BRIGG SCHOOL PUPILS PICTURED AROUND 1960

Pay attention and no talking at the back of the class! Who remembers being educated in the prefabricated buildings at Brigg County Primary School?
Infants were taught in prefab classrooms that were closer to Grammar School Road than Glebe Road.
This class picture was taken around 1960 and features some well-known Brigg people.
We think Barry Deeley is second from left on the back row, and Martin North third from left on the second row.
Could Martin Beacock be on the centre of the front row? And is that Kev Dunderdale third from right on the back row?
Miss Brown is the teacher pictured with her class on a sunny day.
The infants had their own playground, around which the classrooms were arranged. There was a scrambling net for children to climb. Was it army surplus? And what would modern health and safety make of such a facility today?
The Ancholme Inn, on Grammar School Road, would have opened about the time this picture was taken - being only a short distance from the infants' classrooms. It was demolished a few years ago and a housing development now occupies the site.
Please email scoopfisher@aol.com if you can identify any of the pupils.
