There were mixed fortunes for Brigg and district teams in the EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District Football League this afternoon (Saturday, December 15, 2018).
In division one, Barnetby United enjoyed a 4-1 home win over bottom side Crosby Colts.
On the mark for the villagers were Brendan O’Callaghan (2), Daniel Greaves and Harry Finnis.
Also in the top flight, Briggensians lost 7-1 at Limestone Rangers, with Sol Hari netting for the visitors who are second from bottom in the standings.
In divisIon two, Adam Webb and Jack Wilson scored for Hibaldstow Wanderers in an 8-2 defeat at Sherpa.
With Christmas approaching, fixtures are few and far between in the EC Surfacing competition this coming Saturday (December 22) but two of the three league games involve local teams and will kick off at 2pm.
Briggensians will host The Butchers Arms, while Hibaldstow have a home match against New Holland Villa.
