BRIGG TOWN CENTRE FLATS CONSIDERED BY COUNCILLORS

Brigg Town Council's Planning & Environment Committee met last night in the Lounge of the Angel Suite.
A good deal of business was transacted under the chairmanship of Coun Mike Storey with half-a-dozen items to consider.
There were no objections to an application to change the use of existing rear office space to form six 1-bed flats, including external alterations, at 6 Market Place (still regarded as Grimley Smith's building by most of us).
Coun Donald Campbell thought the scheme to be a good one, while Coun Storey pointed out this sort of accommodation is needed in the town.
Coun Jane Gibbons hoped to see dedicated car parking spaces  provided for the flats, and
Deputy Town Mayor Coun Ann Eardley (pictured) asked a question about the location of  bins serving the site.
Having passed through the first stage in the planning process, this application now progresses to North Lincolnshire Council for a final decision.
