SEEN ANY BRIGG SWIFTS YET?

We've only seen one swift so far this year, and that was on Saturday - midway between Brigg and Broughton. Have YOU spied any within Brigg's boundaries this month?
Years ago these swooping, screeching birds used to nest under the eaves of many  houses in Central Square and East Parade.
One evening last summer we saw  some in Grammar School Road, not far from the old Ancholme,  and observed others  high above the town centre while enjoying a pint in the Black Bull pub beer garden.
Swifts only spend a few summer months in the UK before making the long flight back to Africa.
If you have seen swifts in town, please email scoopfisher@aol.com or post a comment here.
