COUNTING DOWN DAYS TO BRIGG REGATTA & ANCHOLME RIVER FESTIVAL

There will be plenty to enjoy on the River Ancholme in Brigg this coming weekend.
Glanford Boat Club - at Coal Dyke End, Island Carr Road, off Bridge Street - will be holding its annual regatta on Saturday 23rd May. Free admission, from 10am to 6pm.
Social secretary Julie Smith tells us: "We have marquees with Craft Stalls, Model boat club, Mini Dog Show, Refreshments, etc. 
"Amy Howson, the Humber Keel Boat, will be there for people to look around.
"We also have a Free Fun Fair, bouncy castle, slide, etc.
From Saturday, May 23 through the bank holiday to Monday, May 26 the Ancholme River Festival will include a taster session for canoeing and canoe polo (e-mail mail@gsc-online.com), rowing (e-mail gill.mordue@btinternet.com) or casting (e-mail mikestory49@yahoo.com).
Events will be launched from the rowing club (see above), with the polo pitch  from the County Bridge alongside the White Hart pub. Find out more by calling  01652 657053.
