BRIGG POLICE & OPERATION TIDY UP

The other day we saw a van belonging to a Yorkshire company parked up near the grassy area alongside Brigg police station while two workers busied themselves on tidying up duties. They even seemed to be looking for litter in the boundary hedge.
This is commendable but made us think about the carbon footprint.

Anyway, I'd like to know why the bobbies keep telling us to keep our houses secure...that windows are often left open in the police station when no-one seems to be about.
