BRIGG BUSINESS CELEBRATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY

It doesn't seem five minutes since Brigg Blog joined guests at the opening of the Steel Rooms in Brigg - on the corner of Spring's Parade and the Market Place - but tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov 12) is the first anniversary of this new venture.   PICTURES BY  KEN HARRISON.

Brigg's retail image has gelled in recent years.....The town's attractions appear to revolve around:
A. Individual specialist shops which offer quality.
B. Pubs which offer good cheer and beer.
C. A range of various excellent eateries.
D. Health & beauty....

But during recent years, the domain of art and craft has emerged as a strong contender. Apart from Live, Love & Create at one end of Wrawby St., The Steel Rooms has created a stimulating ambiance to Brigg's artistic bent.
In addition, the ex-florist shop, once the Hidden Garden (which has incidentally moved to College Yard), is, according to the grapevine, being refurbished to offer a range of adult and children's arty pursuits.
