BRIGG GREETINGS TO HONG KONG AND TURKEY

They are reading Brigg Blog in Hong Kong and Turkey, among many other countries. We'd love to know who you are. If you'd like to drop us a line, please email scoopfisher@aol.com
How do we know? Well, the clever Google people who host this Blog offer a facility that means we can access up-to-the-minute site stats at any time.
On the subject of which: We were telling someone the other day about the small number of Ugandan Asians who were at Brigg Grammar for a short time after Idi Amin's regime had given them precious little time to get out of Africa. They were billeted, temporarily, at RAF Hemswell. Nice lads, they were, who came to BGS. We had a few in our class. They had clearly been very well educated. Whether H B Williams, our headmaster, who was a man of renowned Christian beliefs, offered them a place, or whether they were billeted on BGS by the Government, we were never told. But we wouldn't be surprised if he was behind it.
