HAROLD KEPT US IN ORDER

During a routine check of the statistics generated by Google to tell us about Brigg Blog, we spotted that someone, very recently, had searched for "Harold Stinson" on the site. He taught maths at Brigg Grammar School and knew his subject inside out. He also knew the inside of a World War Two Beaufighter inside out and it was quite a skill for classes to gently guide him from the day's algebra lesson to memories of his war-time flying career. He lived in Redcombe Lane.
Forget the maths...As far as many ex-BGS pupils are concerned, Mr Stinson will always be remembered for overseeing school meals and disciplining any diners who tried to disrupt the smooth-running operation of getting boys fed and watered with minimum fuss, in minimum time and back to BGS for afternoon lessons.

I've got 10-1 odds at the bookies that Ken Harrisson has viewed Brigg Blog more than anyone else in history .

Can you confirm this Nigel so I can collect my winnings?

Brindisi, Beaufighters and "Bing Bong". A staunch supporter of Ancholme House particularly in cricket and was not happy when I put the first six batsmen back in pavillion in a Junior House match inside two overs. Always wore Doc Martins and I believe his son came to teach at Nelthorpe for a while.

gmsmithy-
Technically, you're being robbed.
I'll take your bet at the odds stated Smithy old boy.
Just call me ''onest Harry of Aintree'.

Some Beaufighters took part in the Battle of Britain. Not all the dog-fights took part in beautifully sunny days - some Jermin aeroplanes tried coming at night and the Beaufighters were used as night fighters - fitted with early radar.
