BRIGG PUB IS STONE COLD CERTAINTY TO INTEREST COLLECTORS

Brigg Blog is wondering how many distinctive Stones barrel pub signs like this remain in situ at hostelries across the UK.
This one is above the front entrance to the Nelthorpe Arms in Brigg - still widely known locally as Scanlon's - a tribute to the long tenure of former mine hosts Myles and Mary Scanlon at this Bridge Street hostelry.
A quick trawl round the internet revealed quite a market for old pub signs among collectors.
So what's it worth?
