BRIGG PATHS BEING REPLACED

Following long-running complaints from Brigg residents going back many, many months - reported on Brigg t'internet - North Lincolnshire Council is now replacing the old, worn (and some might say potentially dangerous) footpaths in the East Parade and Central Square area of town.
Coun Nigel Sherwood (Cabinet chief for Highways and other services) kindly phoned us a couple of Fridays ago to say his authority had agreed dates for this work to be carried out.
Last night we ventured down on our way to The Hawthorns and saw the contract is under way at last.
We have "before" pictures in our collection and hope to bring you "after" shots when the work is complete.
