JUNE'S POLICING PRIORITIES IN BRIGG INCLUDE 'HOTSPOT' PATROLS

The Brigg Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) has revealed some of its priorities to tackle and deter crime in the town.
Humberside Police's latest figures - recently highlighted by Brigg Blog - show a sizeable reduction in local crime.
The local NPT, in a June 2022 update, says: "There has been a marked decrease in shop thefts in the Brigg area with reports falling back to pre-spike levels."
Outlining plans for this month, the team says: "Patrols will continue in our 'Hotspot' areas."
It will be conducting patrols in an area of the Springbank estate "after an increase in calls for service surrounding nuisance motorcycles."
Officers from Brigg NPT last month seized a motorcycle allegedly being ridden illegally, reported a motorist for alleged drink-driving and a woman for allegedly driving without insurance or a licence.
The next police surgery in Brigg, when local people will be able to meet and talk with officers, will take place on Wednesday, July 27 in the Market Place, from 4pm to 5pm.
