UNUSUAL SIGHTS YOU SEE IN BRIGG

Unusual things are spotted in Brigg from time to time.
Having had a lot of hot weather of late,  early one morning we saw a padded bra sticking out of a hedge on St Helen's Road.
How it got there we can't explain, but it had gone by the time we walked past the following day. So perhaps the lady owner came back to collect it.
A few days later we were surprised to see that a yellow excavating machine (JCB?) had called at the hand car wash on Bigby Street.
What's the going rate for cleaning one of these?
An unusual sight at the Yarborough Hunt pub, on Bridge Street - four train enthusiasts, aged 60 and above, holding a Saturday night chat in one of the beer garden's wooden huts. This was because a group was playing at the front of the pub, resulting in an influx of music-lovers occupying seating favoured by the railway buffs for their  get-togethers. The cabana they occupied was soon nicknamed The Goods Shed.
It was suggested to Brigg Blog that we should take a picture (see below) of the lettering on the sign outside the Wrawby Street entrance to St John's Church.
Our informant pointed out that its full name, The Parish Church of St John The Avengelist, now takes on added significance in view of the out-of-place letter!
