'SPECIAL' VIEW OF BRIGG RAILWAY STATION

Here's an interesting picture sent to Brigg Blog by local rail line campaigner Paul Johnson.
It dates back more than a quarter-of-a-century and shows our town's station when it still had some buildings standing on the platform.
The one nearest the camera was built for the station master, no less!
Paul says the train was being hauled by Class 47 diesel Class No. 47437.
It was working 1Z09 - the 0930 Birmingham to Cleethorpes railtour, on Saturday, 17th March, 1990.
