BRIGG TOWN FC FEATURE IN TWO FA CUP RECORDS: CAN YOU NAME THEM?

FROM ANDREW MARKHAM

Re. your piece on Brigg Town and the FA Cup.
The season they played Tranmere they knocked Gretna FC (then of the English Northern Premier League) out in the 3rd qualifying round after a replay.
At the end of that season, Gretna entered the Scottish League, meaning Brigg Town played the last FA Cup tie to be played in Scotland, and the replay meant The Hawthorns hosted the last tie contested by a Scottish club.
Nice claims to fame for our historic club.
