HOPES OF NEW BRIGG JOBS BY DEVELOPING STATION YARD-

North Lincolnshire Council has drawn up initial proposals for the redevelopment of Station Road, Brigg.
Outline maps have been passed to Brigg Town Council but the unitary authority has yet to  placed the in the public domain, there as yet being no application for planning permission.
However, during the deliberations of Brigg's Planning and Environment Committee, in the Angel Suite Lounge, mention was made of  new industrial units.
It was also revealed that North Lincolnshire Council wants to use the entire former railway yard and the former coalyard area towards the Old River Ancholme.
Coun Jane Kitching said the scheme would create new jobs.
Town Clerk Jeanette Woollard suggested the proposals would be going before the Brigg 20/20 Group.
Coun Jackie Brock wanted to see a pedestrian access clearly marked out from the station, across the yard.
Comments made by town councillors will be passed on to North Lincolnshire Council.
