In a month's time we can expect a new timetable to be announced for the Saturdays-only passenger train service linking Brigg station with Cleethorpes, Grimsby, Sheffield, Barnetby, Gainsborough and Retford. As the picture below clearly indicates, the current timetable runs until May 17.
At present, trains leave Brigg for Cleethorpes at 9.20am, 1.22pm and 5.23pm. Times of trains to Sheffield are 11.44am, 3.53pm and 7.10pm. But remember...only on Saturdays.
The picture above shows improvements recently undertaken to the surface of both platforms, and there's effective lighting on the station and across the approach road to the top of Station Road.
We don't really expect more than three trains each way when the new timetable comes in during mid-May, but it would be a very pleasant surprise if one or two additions do come our way.
