About 6.30pm on Tuesday we were near the Old River Ancholme - close to the Ancholme Way bridge - when what we took to be a training boat from Ancholme Rowing Club came by. We hope one of Brigg's oldest clubs, with a history going back well into Queen Victoria's reign - has an enjoyable season of pleasure rowing, as well as in competitions.
