TWO BRIGG TOWN FOOTBALL TEAMS PLAYING TONIGHT


Two Brigg Town Football Club matches are coming up tonight (Tuesday, October 4).
The Zebras' first team will be journeying into West Yorkshire to meet Garthorpe in the second round of the Northern Counties East League Cup (7.45pm).
Garthorpe (Leeds area) are current sixth in the Premier Division, while Brigg occupy fifth spot in Division One.
In the first round (on Wednesday, September 7) Brigg were two down to Rossington Main until the 63rd minute when Scott Phillips (pictured above) reduced the arrears from the penalty spot. It stayed that way until two minutes of 'normal' time remained on the clock when Kevan Kahoussi provided an equaliser. Then Finley O'Sullivan came up with a last-gasp Town winner.
Brigg Town Development have a home game coming at the EC Surfacing Stadium tonight when Louth Town will be visiting the EC Surfacing Stadium for a Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier fixture.
Kick off is 7.45pm and refreshments for spectators will be available on the ground.
Brigg Development have taken four points from their opening six league fixtures and are 15th in a table comprising 20 teams.
Louth are in second spot - three points behind leaders Lincoln Moorlands Railway.
