MUSIC AND MARKETS TO ENJOY IN BRIGG THIS WEEKEND


There's a range of free entertainment to enjoy at licensed venues in and near Brigg this weekend, plus two markets and a couple of Christmas fairs.
At Wrawby Street's Black Bull pub on Friday night December 10) from 7.30pm there will be a Christmas Brass Concert with Carols by Barnetby Silver Band, including landlord Andy Noon who is a band official. Everyone is welcome to call in and enjoy some seasonal songs from this long-established organisation based in the local railway village.
On Saturday, young female singer Belle Velvet will be providing music at the same venue from 8pm.
Hull-based singer Lynette will be performing chart-topping hits at the Lord Nelson Hotel on Saturday night (December 11) with free admission to the gig on offer at the Market Place venue.

The Dying Gladiator, on Bigby Street, will stage another of its popular free-to-attend Saturday night disco & karaoke sessions running from 9pm.
This Saturday  will see a Love Brigg Arts, Craft & Antiques Market in the town centre - its stalls supplementing those of the Saturday general market (including fruit & veg) from 8.30am into the afternoon.
North Kelsey Primary School will be the venue for a Christmas Fair on Sunday (December 12) with various stalls and games, from noon to 4pm.
People from Brigg and district may also be interested in visiting the major Normanby Hall Christmas Fair on on Saturday and Sunday (December 11 and 12) from 10am to 4pm. with dozens of stalls. Admission to this event is free; there is a charge for car parking.
As part of a local venue's Christmas entertainment programme, singer Emma Ramsden will be performing songs "from the 1950s onwards" at the Sutton Arms pub & restaurant, West Street, Scawby, on (Friday night.
