CHANGES AFOOT AT BRIGG BARS

The Euro 2020 football tournament has prompted some changes in drinking patterns for Brigg.
Saturday, June 12 saw fewer customers visiting local pubs than might have been expected because some Saturday regulars instead opted to attend bars the following afternoon to watch big screen TV coverage of England v Croatia.
The same applied this weekend, with some Saturday night regulars instead going to the pub/licensed club of their choice on Friday (June 18) to watch England v Scotland.
England's final qualifying group game is coming up on Tuesday (June 22) against the Czech Republic (8pm KO).
This tournament is good for trade at those licensed premises offering TV coverage, with many Brigg people attending. And despite the disappointing 0-0 draw with Scotland on Friday night, England look set to qualify for the last 16 stage.
