BRIGG PUB REOPENING ON MONDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MONTHS

A Brigg pub will be reopening its doors to customers for the first time in months tomorrow (Monday, May 17).
The Britannia Inn, on Wrawby Street, will be welcoming back customers from noon.
Due to the rather limited size of its rear beer garden, the Brit opted not to reopen a month ago when UK licensed premises were allowed to do so for outdoor 'table service' only.
Brit landlord Mark Burns formerly ran the town's White Hart and the Exchange Bar.
Those Brigg pubs which did opt to reopen their beer gardens from April 12 will be adding indoor service from tomorrow, in line with a relaxation of Coronavirus emergency measures by the Government. The same applies to our licensed social clubs - Brigg Town FC's Hawthorns and Brigg & District Servicemen's Club.
However, a number of regulations will apply, including 'Test & Trace' signing-in upon arrival, placing orders while seated (no queueing at bars) and social distancing by customers.

Assisted by mild weather, Brigg pubs were well patronised last night (Saturday) up to 11pm.
