WHEN BRIGG CASHPOINT WILL BE UNAVAILABLE

The Lloyds bank branch in Brigg town centre will be closed for up to three weeks while the interior is altered to make it 'counter free'.
The work to install additional machines for cash withdrawals and paying in cheques and banknotes will begin on September 21.
While this work is being carried out, it will NOT be possible to use the existing cashpoint on the outside of the Wrawby Street listed building.
In these changing times for the world of banking, Brigg Blog has no issue with the extra machines inside the building but was hoping the branch would be keeping its existing cashpoint open to customers while work progressed inside.
There are other cashpoints elsewhere in Brigg town centre that can be used to withdraw money during the three-week refurb.
But having to cater for Lloyds customers in addition to regular users may mean longer waiting times at certain times of the day.
Last Saturday, when the farmers' market was going on, we gather a couple of cashpoints were out of action, which may explain the queue we observed outside the Barclays branch machine.
The next farmers' market is coming up on September 22.
When Lloyds in Brigg reopens in October, it will no longer be possible to bank coins of the realm.
