LATEST BRIGG CRIME FIGURES RELEASED


Latest crime figures for Brigg have been released through www.police.uk
The list shows offences reported to Humberside Police during June 2018 that took place within a one-mile radius of the town centre.
In June there were 52 crimes - a reduction of 10 on May's total.
Here's the run down - category by category, for June 2018, as listed by the police:

  • Anti-social behaviour 7
  • Bicycle theft 1
  • Burglary 1
  • Criminal damage and arson 5
  • Drugs 1
  • Other crime 1
  • Other theft 5
  • Possession of weapons 2
  • Public order 4
  • Robbery 0
  • Shoplifting    7
  • Theft from the person 0
  • Vehicle crime    3
  • Violence and sexual offences 15
Seventeen of the 52 crimes took place in, or near, the town centre, with four on the Newlands estate and three on the Springbank estate.
Four others were committed over the border, in neighouring Broughton and Scawby Brook parishes.
By way of comparison, June 2017 saw 78 crimes in Brigg, while there were 38 in June 2016.
