FORMER BRIGG MAN IS NEW DEPUTY MAYOR OF NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE


Former Brigg resident Councillor Peter Clark, pictured above, of Ferry Ward, is the new Deputy Mayor of North Lincolnshire.
The new Mayor of the district is Councillor Trevor Foster, of Messingham (Ridge Ward).
Coun Foster's chosen charities to benefit from the Mayor’s Appeal Fund during his 12 months in office are Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Retiring Mayor Councillor Helen Rowson, from Walcot, attended 194 events during her year in office, including some in Brigg, and raised a whopping £19,499 for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.
The annual meeting of North Lincolnshire Council took place yesterday (Tuesday, May 10).

The Mayor of North Lincolnshire for 2015/16, Councillor Helen Rowson, at Brigg's Angel Suite  last autumn, supporting the coffee morning hosted by Brigg Town Mayor Coun James Truepenny.  It accompanied the presentation of trophies to the winners of the best-kept garden and allotments.
