HOPES RISE FOR BRIGG RECREATION GROUND IMPROVEMENTS - STARTING WITH CRICKET & TENNIS

Brigg Recreation Ground, seen here, is in need of investment - everyone agrees - and now hopes are rising that this will happen

A very positive statement has been issued about revamping Brigg Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road.
It appears in the latest issue of In Touch, the Brigg & Wolds Ward Newsletter issued by North Lincolnshire Council cabinet members Couns Carl Sherwood, Nigel Sherwood and Rob Waltham, and Andrew Percy, Conservative MP for Brigg & Goole.
Copies of In Touch are now being delivered to Brigg area households. But for the benefit of those who may not get to see a copy, or might miss the relevant section, here it is:

RECREATION GROUND

Work continues to progress with a £3 million development at the town's recreation ground. The development could include three senior and three junior football pitches, a floodlit hockey pitch, as well as a cricket square and nets. Works to the cricket pitch and tennis courts are likely to take place first. Plans will be submitted for consideration in August.
