William Clark who sculptured the Dying Gladiator, also made a statute, called, thinking vaguely, 'The Button Boy' - but it did have 'BOY' in its title.
The wooden head and shoulder bust of a young lad was erected on the gable end of a roof over a shop in Hull - possibly Ferensway.
Many years ago, I saw a picture (looked like an Edwardian scene) of the shop/statue with accompanying description - but am now unable to locate the source.
Have you any Hull contacts, Nige, who could research this other Clark's statue?
