PROMINENT BRIGG BUILDING SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN SOLD

During a discussion among Brigg town councillors last night in the Angel Suite which we attended, it was suggested that 7 Market Place, Brigg, has been sold by North Lincolnshire Council, having been on the market for some time as surplus to the authority's requirements.
The Georgian town house is in the Conservation Area and the buyer is believed to have local connections.
We are contacting North Lincolnshire Council today to request official confirmation about the sale and to seek further details.
You will probably recall that 7 Market Place was leased by our previous MP as his Brigg office for some years.
Glanford Borough Council owned the building prior to the formation of the North Lincolnshire unitary authority. Before Glanford, we think Brigg UDC had it (pre-1974).
