Halifax to Brigg - It's a good job it's downhill!!
Well done, Andrew.....keeps those legs going.
I hope some official party will welcome you home....and Scrib's there to take your pix.

'Hull, Hell and Halifax' - with Hull and Halifax being the last two places in the UK to stop public executions.

In Halifax they used a device called the Halifax Gibbet, very similar to a guillotine, long before the French device...and was used from the C13th.
Sometimes the condemned man was allowed run-off, pursued by a baying mob. If he reached a certain point, he was allowed to go free. There's a pub called 'The Running Man' near the centre of Halifax.
Just make sure you get back to Brigg in one piece......if chased, pedal like mad!!
