TAYLOR-MADE VICTORY FEATURES IN BRIGG BLOG'S SATURDAY CRICKET ROUND-UP

Brigg Town were beaten while Hibaldstow and Broughton 2nds both won in Lincolnshire County Cricket League fixtures played yesterday (Saturday, May 28).
Brigg Town's last Supplementary Cup Group Three game saw them lose by 39 runs when visiting table-topping Caistor 2nds' Brigg Road Ground.
Caistor opted to bat first and were contained to 146 for seven in the full 40 overs.
Brigg then fell short with 107, Vijay Raju top scoring with 32 and Paul Neal finishing unbeaten on 18.
With one win and two defeats from their qualifying group games, Brigg have failed to make it through to the next stage of the competition.
However, Broughton 2nds, who won by 56 runs away to Nettleham 3rds yesterday, have topped Group One and secured a place in the semi-finals.
Richard Stone hit 94 and Jamie Robinson 31 in Broughton's 177 for five.
The home side then replied with 121 all-out - Paul Clark and Jack Johnstone both taking three wickets for Broughton.
Hibaldstow's good form continued in a Division Two yesterday, as the local villagers enjoyed a very convincing 118-run home win over Hartsholme 2nds.
Hibaldstow posted 214 for nine in their 45 overs - Joe Taylor scoring 66 and Chris Nash 48.
The visitors from Lincoln were then dismissed for 96 in the 36th over, as experienced all-rounder Jon Taylor claimed four for 16.
