An application seeking planning permission for a car wash in Brigg has now been decided by North Lincolnshire Council.
The local authority has granted approval for the change of use of a former coach depot to a hand car wash facility.
The location is the former T J Coaches site on Island Carr Road.
Information supplied to the council described this as "a retrospective application for the change of use of a former coach depot to a hand car wash facility."
A delegated assessment report on the application prepared by council staff noted: "The surrounding area is characterised by commercial and industrial uses and the site is located at the entrance to an established industrial estate."
It added: "Given the location of the proposal and the existing nature of the site, a proposal for hand wash facilities is not considered to be unacceptable."
The report also stated: "The site is currently operational and the site appears tidy and well designed to provide adequate space for vehicles manoeuvring in and out of the site."
In granting planning permission, the council stipulated: "The car wash shall only operate during the following times unless otherwise agreed in writing with the local planning authority:
- Monday to Saturdays - 8am to 5pm;
- Sundays and Bank Holidays 9am to 4pm."
