2222 (BRIGG) SQUADRON RAF AIR CADETS NOW RECRUITING

2222 (Brigg) Squadron has launched its next recruitment drive, encouraging young people aged 12 (Year 8) – 17 to enrol to be part of the team, starting in January 2021, writes A/Plt Off (RAFAC) George Crampton, Sqn Media & Comms Officer.
The Royal Air Force Air Cadets aims to promote an interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force to young people. We also provide training to allow Cadets the opportunity to develop skills useful in Military and Civilian careers. We also develop within cadets a spirit of adventure and allow them to gain experience being leaders and good citizens.
As a cadet, young people will get the opportunity to do things others can only dream about. Flying, Gliding, Shooting, Adventure Training, Fieldcraft and so much more. There are many challenging activities, but we give Cadets the ability to overcome these.
Officer Commanding 2222 (Brigg) Squadron, Flight Lieutenant (RAFAC) Graham Slater had this to say: “I am excited to be able to give young people the opportunity to discover the activities on offer at Brigg Air Cadets.
“With enthusiastic, qualified volunteer staff ready to encourage you to become the best that you can be in all aspects of your time with us".
The squadron will be holding a virtual recruitment night on Thursday 10 December 2020 at 1900hrs to give an overview of what the Royal Air Force Air Cadets has to offer and also to answer any questions parents/guardians might have. To sign up for this session, please contact by email 2222@rafac.mod.gov.uk
