BRIGG FOLK CAN ENJOY A DAY AT THE RACES THIS WEEKEND

The first of eight Sunday horse racing fixtures in 2014 at Market Rasen Racecourse takes place on 16th February.
The Lincolnshire track has the distinction of hosting the most Sunday fixtures of any of Britain’s 58 racecourses.
They are always family friendly occasions and on the 16th there will be free entertainments for children – who are also admitted into the racecourse free of charge – including a bouncy castle, inflatable slide, face painters and balloon modellers.
The feature race is the Late Great Ted Munnelly Birthday Memorial Novices’ Chase.
The sporting action also includes a qualifying race in The Jockey Club Grassroots Jumps Series which is aimed at supporting the grassroots levels of jump racing in Britain.
The other seven Sunday meeting at Market Rasen in 2014 are on 9 March, 23 March (Best of British Sports Day), 6 April (Countryside Food and Drink Day), 18 May (Newcomers Day), 6 July (Don Noble Family Barbeque Day), 3 August (Big Family Fun Day) and 9 November (Armed Forces Day).
The first race of seven on 16th February is scheduled for 1.50pm.  Gates open two hours before.  On-the-day adult prices: Family Enclosure £7.50; Tattersalls £14; County Enclosure £19.
Tickets for all racing fixtures at Market Rasen Racecourse can be bought in advance online at www.marketrasenraces.co.uk or on 0844 579 3009.  Savings of up to 25% are available on advance purchases.
