North Lincolnshire Council granted planning permission last year for semi-detached dwellings to be built on on a Brigg site once occupied by school canteen buildings.
Remember the stew, cabbage and semolina?
The successful application for this housing development on Colton Street was made by Run Development Ltd, of Bishop Norton.
We watched the buildings taking shape over a number of months, and took this picture as we were passing the other day to record the end product.

Hands up all Brigg Grammar School pupils of the 1960s and 1970s who remember standing in the quadrangle and hearing maths master Harold Stinson barking out this order to assemble for the walk to the nearby canteen: "Colton Street diners!"
The old canteen buildings looked to be of 1940s vintage.
They lasted much longer than expected but were eventually demolished.
