Well-known local band The Dirty Pitchers have announced they are about to bow out. But before they do, there's one last chance to see the boys perform in Brigg at what is being called a Farewell Party.
Their swansong gig will be in the beer garden of the Black Bull pub, Wrawby Street, on Saturday July 2, from 8pm, with free admission.
Announcing their decision Dom, Mark, John, Garry and Elliot say: "The last two years have been challenging for everyone, but they’ve also helped us reflect on the time we’ve spent as a band and also our plans away from it."
The Britpop and alternative rock performers add: "We’d like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years, and hopefully we’ve been able to help carry on the memory of the best era of music.
"We hope you’ll be able to come and celebrate our time as The Dirty Pitchers; let’s party like it’s the '90s, one last time."
The band has been together for seven years, playing "to some amazing crowds" since then.
Brigg Blog has mentioned many of their gigs in the town and at nearby venues - beginning with an appearance in the Yarborough Hunt's beer garden on Brigg Bike Night back in July 2016.
We've pictured The Pitchers at the Exchange, the Britannia, the Dying Gladiator and the Nelthorpe Arms (since closed).
They've also performed at Brigg Town Football Club's Hawthorns and Elsham Golf Club, as well as previously at the Black Bull.
