Brigg Blog would like to advise drivers to take particular care along Old Courts Road, Brigg, which connects with the town's main car park.
On a busy Saturday, like today, you need your wits about you.
Someone this morning chose to drive a car halfway down Old Courts Road, close to the row of shops, and just sit there. Presumably they were waiting for someone to get into the vehicle after making a purchase or two somewhere in the town centre.
Traffic emerging from the car park had to go round the parked car.
A little further along Old Courts Road, many people still seem to regard the tarmac traffic hump/speed retarder near Boyes' store as an unofficial pedestrian crossing and expect approaching cars to stop for them. This is NOT a zebra crossing.
Good news today: We didn't see a single vehicle being driven down Wrawby Street while we were in the town centre for some considerable time. Nor was any cycling evident through the town centre.
Let's hope this continues. Shoppers should be able to go about their business in the pedestrian area without having to step aside for drivers and cyclists.
