The many Brigg Chinese food fans in town have been placed on short rations.
The China Garden, at the corner of Queen Street and Wrawby Street, will be closed from today (March 15) until Saturday, March 21, while staff take holidays.The Golden City, in Wrawby Street (near the Buttercross), pictured, is currently closed and will reopen on Wednesday, March 18.
The Kar Restaurant, on Old Courts Road, shut last summer when Harry Wu retired, since when no buyer has come forward to re-open the extensive premises to diners.
Worry not, lovers of Far Eastern fare, Simon Ho's China Royal, in Bridge Street, remains open - eat-in restaurant and takeaway.
Given the absence of competition, we'd expect Simon and staff to be in for a busy time!
