School friends from Brigg will be reunited at a wide range of sporting and social reunions this year.
The Briggensians’ Association represents former pupils and staff of Brigg Grammar School, Brigg Girls’ High School, Sir John Nelthorpe School and Brigg Sixth Form College.
The spring golf meeting will be held at Elsham Golf Club on Sunday, March 27 (first tee-off noon).
The summer sports reunion will be held on the Sir John Nelthorpe School field, off Grammar School Road, Brigg, on Tuesday, June 14 (meet 6pm for 6.30pm start). Cricket and rounders matches will be played between Youth and Experience teams. After the games, from about 9pm, there will be a social night at the Yarborough Hunt, Bridge Street.
The match play Past v Present golf meeting will be held at Elsham Golf Club on Monday, July 11 (4pm start).
The winter sports reunion will be held on the Sir John Nelthorpe School field on Friday, September 16 (meet 6pm for 6.30pm start). Football, male and female hockey, and netball will be played between Youth and Experience teams. After the games, from about 8.30pm, there will be a social night at the Yarborough Hunt, Bridge Street.
The autumn golf meeting will be held at Elsham Golf Club on Sunday, October 23 (first tee-off noon).
The Christmas sports reunion will be on Tuesday, December 27 – football on the Sir John Nelthorpe School field (10.30am) and pub games afterwards – venue to be announced.

In addition, parents may wish to note that Sir John Nelthorpe School, Brigg, will be holding its sports day on Friday, July 8 on the school field, between Grammar School Road and Wrawby Road.
Date for NEXT year’s diary: The association’s 35th annual dinner has already been booked for Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Elsham Golf Club (7pm for 7.30).
